Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our team as a real-time logistics provider, supporting various manufacturing facilities. You will work within a material handling environment, providing a wide range of automotive parts and sub-assembled components to our manufacturing facilities.Responsibilities
- Identify, justify, source, and implement solutions within a material handling environment.
- Develop and design equipment to support assembly operations.
- Possess strong knowledge of equipment requirements related to equipment design and installation.
- Monitor and improve current processes and equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot process, electrical, and mechanical issues for production departments.
- Create, update, and integrate mechanical drawings in AutoCAD.
- Manage projects, including preparing technical requirements and documents requesting/justifying capital.
- Schedule and conduct technical project reviews with the management team.
- Create and manage schedules for capital and expense projects.
- Manage capital and expense budgets for automation/equipment-related projects.
- Assist in defining company strategies for all automation/equipment-related projects.
- Manage various contractors during repairs/projects.
- Create and prepare procedures for contractor requirements.
- Develop process flows and corporate communications for preparedness and response to customer/company changes.
- Document requirements and scopes of work for capital projects and strategies.
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Electrical automation experience.
- Robotics exposure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and schematic design.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent related working experience.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems and system controls.
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of vision systems (training provided) as well as DC torque equipment and management.
