Through our training programs and outpatient mental health clinic, we embody an affordable, accessible, and culturally responsive approach that can ensure no one is turned away due to ability to pay.Summary: The Clinical Supervisor for the Blanton-Peale Article 31 Mental Health Outpatient Treatment & Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS) clinic is a vital team leader reporting to the Clinic Director, who champions the provision of holistic, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, quality mental health and wellness services by an interdisciplinary team of psychotherapists, psychoanalytic residents, and MSW/MHC/MFT interns. Their commitment to quality care includes efforts to support clinical education, training, and supervision as well as providing psychotherapy to a small caseload of individuals, couples, and families. The Clinical Supervisor also serves as a representative of Blanton-Peale for community-focused events.Responsibilities:Clinical Leadership & Supervision:
  • Provide individual clinical reflective supervision to psychotherapists and psychotherapy interns.
  • Facilitate group and/or team clinical supervision, including clinical education presentations and trainings.
  • Continue to evolve as a clinician, supervisor, and leader, staying informed of best practices, trends in mental health and wellness, and training/education opportunities.
  • Manage intake process including scheduling intake assessments, provider assignments, and support with appropriate referrals.
  • Rotating on call responsibilities.
Program Management
  • Engage in program evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in network meetings as appropriate.
  • Participate in QI initiatives as assigned.
Clinical Care
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group psychotherapy and mental health supports in a manner that reflects team-based collaborative interdisciplinary care.
  • Complete clinical documentation (i.e. assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge plans) according to OMH regulations, guidance, and standards of care.
  • Contribute to risk identification and management, including both direct and indirect interventions, consultations, advisement, follow-up, and case conferences.
  • Facilitate and/or co-facilitate clinical team meetings for care planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to clinical care and education/training.
Qualifications:
  • New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with passion and proven clinical skills providing individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • At least five years of experience in an Outpatient Mental Health or similar setting.
  • Extensive understanding of the range of mental health challenges, needs, strengths, and developmental stages.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in evidence-based practices (i.e. Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Trauma-Informed Care.)
  • At least two years of experience providing supervision.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking highly preferred.
This position includes occasional responsibilities beyond the hours of the usual workday, with flexible scheduling with the potential for 1 remote day.The salary range for this position is $80,000.
