The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Supplier Quality Business, Principal Engineers and Technical Product Owners required for designing, developing, and managing activities for Supplier Quality software products from product definition and planning through production, release, modernization, maintenance/operations, and end of life.Reporting to the OneTech Manager for NA Quality, the person in this role will support the NAQ department with the objective of proactively seeking opportunities to apply technology to business challenges and processes.What you’ll be doingTechnical Leadership and Team ManagementLead and inspire application development scrum teams.Cultivate a collaborative, technically proficient team culture that encourages innovative problem-solving.Develop a strong and healthy relationship with your business counterparts. Understand the business and proactively support upcoming initiatives.Strategic PlanningDevelop and execute a product/technical roadmap for application development projects.Collaborate with the Manager, Sr. Manager, Principal Engineers and Business to establish a forward-looking product/technical strategy and vision for the application development team.Project ManagementProactively manage and mitigate risks and issues.Ensure all projects follow the standard Agile methodology.Establish clear priorities, develop robust implementation plans and allocate resources.Oversee planning, execution, and successful delivery of concurrent development projects.Ensure that projects are executed within specified timelines, scope, and budget constraints.Technical ExcellenceMaintain a high level of technical expertise and stay current with emerging industry best practices.Responsible to enforce governance processes and technical assessments to guarantee the quality, scalability, and security of applications.Cross-functional Technical CollaborationArticulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate effectively with architecture, security, data, Cloud, NAQ Platform and other OneTech product teams to ensure seamless product launches.Process OptimizationIdentify and act on opportunities for improving development processes, tools, and workflows.Implement best practices to optimize efficiency and productivity.What you bringEducationBachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.Experience5-7 years of progressive experience in Software Engineering and Solution Architecture.Strong record of delivering enterprise-grade solutions across multi-year initiatives.Cloud & InfrastructureDemonstrated hands-on work experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the following products:Serverless Architecture (AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway)Managed Database Products (Amazon RDS [Aurora], DynamoDB)Containerization (Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS)Search and Analytics (AWS OpenSearch, Amazon QuickSightSoftware DevelopmentDemonstrated hands-on work experience in full-stack development using:Backend: Java, NodeJS, GraphQLFrontend: AngularAPIs: REST and SOAP servicesIdentity & SecurityExperience implementing modern authentication and authorization mechanisms including:oAuth2ForgeRock Identity PlatformDevOps & Agile Delivery FrameworkStrong familiarity with DevOps practices, including automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.Actively engaged in Agile/Scrum environments with emphasis on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.Data Visualization & ReportingPractical experience building dashboards and reports using tools like Microsoft Power BI and AWS QuickSight.Production Support & OperationsProven ability to support mission-critical applications in production environments, ensuring service level objectives are met, system performance is maintained, and upgrade cycles are executed effectivelyNon-TechnicalExperience using written and verbal communication skills effectively, with the ability to create and present concepts, influence and persuade the business, and make recommendations to managementExperience providing guidance to application support and/or project implementation vendorsProgram and/or project management experienceExperience working with/in Agile teamsAdded bonus if you haveAWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), Certified Developer (Associate) and related AWS Professional level technical certifications.Experience with Site Reliability Engineering practices and concepts in application supportExperience working with legacy Java applications.Familiarity with Informatica, Kafka, MQAutomotive manufacturing/industry experienceWhat we’ll bringDuring your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
