Experience Required: 6+ YearsPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This role is ideal for a professional with 6+ years of experience in mechanical system design, construction documentation, and project management. The position offers the opportunity to lead mechanical design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical expertise across diverse building projects.Key ResponsibilitiesApply mechanical engineering design knowledge to create accurate construction documents and specifications.Produce mechanical system design elements in alignment with project scope, budget, and timelines.Develop engineering construction documents for permitting and final delivery.Participate in post-design activities including punch lists, site visits, and construction completion.Ensure design quality standards are consistently met across all deliverables.Manage project communication between the design team, owners, and clients to maintain alignment.Provide consultation on codes, standards, and compliance to support design excellence.Prepare and review engineering project specifications and reports.Support billing processes by providing timely project updates to accounting.Mentor and support junior engineers, designers, and CAD/Revit drafters.Actively contribute to process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost reduction initiatives.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering design.Strong understanding of the construction process and ability to interpret drawings.Expert knowledge of building codes, standards, and mechanical design principles.Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsEIT and/or PE license preferred.Sector-specific expertise in healthcare, education, industrial, or commercial markets.Project management experience a plus.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary with profit-sharing and bonus opportunities.Responsible Time Off (RTO) & paid holidays.Flexible scheduling and hybrid work options.Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance.401(k) with employer match.Tuition reimbursement and professional development support.Mentoring, career advancement opportunities, and training resources.
