We’re looking for a highly skilled Production Supervisor that will be responsible for managing production employees in a fast-paced, high volume, non-union, manufacturing environment. You will lead a team to identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues. Most importantly, you will be responsible for creating an engaged and team-oriented work force. This is an ACTIVE position with 100% of time being on the plant floor (standing, walking, climbing stairs).Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plant production operations, supervision, employee development, and progressive discipline. - Assist with production goals and communicate the goals to the production staff
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Oversee and coach employees
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
- Check production output according to specifications
- Make sure that employees are trained/ cross-trained and understand and follow work instructions
- Work on continuous improvement and efficiency of each operation
- Enforce safety guidelines and company standards
- The position is very hands-on and supervisors are usually on the plant floor about 100% of the shift
- Ability to directly supervise 40+ employees in the manufacturing department
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting required
- Proven leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communications skills are necessary for the success in this position
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Associates degree preferred
- Food safety training will be provided and is not required for employment
- English-Spanish bilingual preferred
- Normal work week is Monday – Friday
