Job DescriptionSeeking a Propulsion Systems Sub System Technical Manager support role. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support for all integration activities and interface for all issues (cost, timing, program planning, launch support, program resolution, etc)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
  • 5+Years experience
  • Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering in any of the following areas: engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, adaptation, controls, or calibration
  • Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Company product development processes, design validation, Key Process Indicators (KPI), and gate processes
  • Demonstrated team building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, and to work with minimal direction (ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance)
Preferred Requirements:
  • Master of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent or
  • Master of Business Administration Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
  • Experience and understanding of the vehicle cost process
  • Experience with the ER&D roll-up process
  • Experience with Change Notice (CN) and Common Change Document (CCD) process
  • Significant knowledge of the automotive industry and competitive benchmarks
  • Program life cycle experience
  • Experience as a Resident/Quality Engineer at one or more manufacturing plants
Additional Must Haves
  • Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated
  • Travel is required (suppliers and WTAP)
  • Location: Onsite CTC and WTAP
Additional Information / Must have's:- Interpersonal skills, proven capability to build and maintain relationships with plant launch teams and indirect reports- Proven understanding of software and calibration for triage- Flexible hours, overtime permitted, up to 50hrs/wk depending on program milestones/deliverables.
