At Waste Connections, we combine the stability of a strong, growing organization with the flexibility to make a real difference.#ACBoost🛠️ What You’ll DoAs a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead a skilled team to ensure our fleet and equipment are operating at peak performance. Your day-to-day will include:
  • Leading and mentoring mechanics and preventative maintenance technicians
  • Coordinating maintenance schedules and assigning work across shop personnel
  • Overseeing diagnostics, repairs, and testing of trucks and heavy equipment
  • Managing inventory and securing cost-effective vendor pricing
  • Handling emergency road calls and coordinating outside service when needed
  • Supporting financial forecasting and maintaining departmental budgets
  • Ensuring compliance with DOT and corporate safety standards
  • Communicating regularly with the Region Maintenance Manager
✅ Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in truck, light, or heavy equipment maintenance (waste industry a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Working knowledge of DOT compliance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Trade/Technical School preferred)
