Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Parts Procurement: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source and procure parts for inventory replenishment and customer orders. Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies, including forecasting, monitoring stock levels, and conducting regular audits. Optimize inventory turnover while minimizing carrying costs and obsolete stock.
- Parts Distribution: Coordinate with technicians and other relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate parts distribution. Track the movement of parts, verify the accuracy, and resolve discrepancies.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all parts transactions, including receipts, invoices, and warranties. Ensure accurate data entry in the inventory management system to facilitate tracking and reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to support their efforts in identifying and fulfilling customer parts requests. Collaborate with technicians to ensure they have the necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of parts received and dispatched. Address any quality concerns promptly and communicate with suppliers for necessary resolutions.
- Training and Supervision: Train and supervise parts department staff, guiding processes, procedures, and customer service. Foster a positive and efficient work environment while promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in developing the departmental budget and monitor expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate pricing with suppliers, and implement cost-control measures without compromising quality or service.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager or similar role in the automotive, manufacturing, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of parts procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.

- Ability to ork with shop equipment (i.e. fork lift, pallet jack, hand truck, pickup truck)
- Job will take you outside occasionally in various weather conditions.
- Periodically drive of site to pick up/or deliver products.
- Will need to load and unload trucks with deliveries, which entails, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting and crouching.
