- The opportunity includes joining a team of Board-Certified Advanced Heart Failure Physicians and specialty trained nurse practitioners led by Nirav Raval, MD, FACC, Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Institute, BayCare Medical Group.
- This established, multi-disciplinary program provides consultation and longitudinal outpatient management of advanced heart failure patients including advance heart failure surgical options.
- Outpatient longitudinal care includes BayCare HF Chronic Care Clinics at multiple hospital locations and weekly, systemwide HF rounds connecting inpatients to resources within the entire systems.
- The consultative inpatient service at St. Joseph’s Hospital manages HF patients, as well as those with acute and durable mechanical support devices. St. Joseph’s Hospital serves as the system resource for shock, MCS, and organ transplant. The program is certified with the DNV for durable mechanical circulatory support.
- Joseph’s Hospital of Tampa, a 615-bed hospital near downtown Tampa, is one of the most advanced and comprehensive centers for cardiovascular care in Florida and is Tampa’s only top-rated hospital named one of America’s best for five years in a row.
- The position requires completion of an Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship and board eligibility or board certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
