In this hands-on engineering role, you will be a key contributor to the design and implementation of advanced embedded software systems that support critical national security and industrial infrastructure missions.What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop advanced cybersecurity technologies across a wide range of mission-critical applications.
  • Contribute to the protection of:
  • Secure network communications
  • Autonomous vehicle systems
  • Critical infrastructure resilience
  • Support the design and implementation of engineering tools that automate and enforce robust security protections within embedded environments.
  • Serve as a core member of Secmation's R&D and product development teams, contributing to projects that advance the state-of-the-art in Defense and Industrial cybersecurity.
  • Apply deep expertise in embedded systems design and implementation to strengthen technical capabilities and enable strategic growth.
  • Drive innovation on programs with high national and commercial impact, including advanced Defense, aerospace, and autonomous systems
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance due to contractual requirements.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of progressive work experience in Software Engineering of Embedded Systems
  • Strong technical background with a good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • 5+ years' expert level embedded programming experience in C/C++, Java and Python
  • Work experience with Linux-based operating systems
  • Experience working on software development teams in an Agile environment including DevOps tools such as Jira and Git
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
Work Environment
  • Hybrid role with on-site work required in Raleigh, NC, DC Metro Area, or Huntsville, AL.
  • Core work hours are Monday to Friday, with flexible work schedules.
