
Forklift Operator III

- Ensure that all products are produced safe and legal through a positive environment of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Maintains the facility at all times as set by the 5S program and follows all Sensient policies, procedures, rules and regulations while working in a safe manner.
- When warehousing finished product, ensure that pallet tags are secured on upper left-hand corner of pallet and initialed to identify the movement into the row, proper pallets are used, pallets of bags have a label on all four sides and that all packaging containers are free from any damage. Also, combine partial pallets as needed to save on warehousing space.
- Ability to read and understand Product Names, Codes and Tags, comprehend and communicate instructions, problems and questions.
- Willing to work in extreme temperatures, ranging from 35˚ F to over 100˚ F
- Must have ability to read and write English, complete simple math computations (+, -, x, ÷), and communicate with a wide range of individuals and functional areas
- Communicate to supervisor as needed if any help is needed on the maintenance or operation of the equipment and performs any other tasks required or assigned by the supervisor or member of management.
- Basic Forklift Operator duties such as loading or unloading product from incoming and/or outgoing trucks and stacking them to assigned places/locations while operating forklift in a safe manor and working safely around heavy forklift traffic,
- A solid and demonstrated warehouse experience to include the ability to load and unload trucks.
- The ability to scan, pick, and pull orders and basic computer understanding to produce reports and track/trace product as needed.
- Perform shipping and receiving functions, and ability to operate a Yard Goat.
- The ability to occasionally and safely roll drums up to 315 lbs., and lifting properly up to 75 lbs. at a time while wearing applicable Personal Protective Equipment, and following all Safety Regulations.
- The ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from 35 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noises, airborne food particles (dust), and forklift fumes.
- High School Graduate or GED, required.
