- Requirements Analysis: Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, translating them into effective test scenarios aligned with regulatory standards.
- Test Case Design: Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- API Testing: Conduct thorough API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to validate endpoints, data accuracy, and performance.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, developers, and analysts to support successful software delivery.
- Regression Testing: Execute regular regression tests to ensure new features do not disrupt existing functionality, especially in policy administration and claims.
- Data Validation: Verify accuracy of policy data, premium and withdrawal calculations, and other critical financial data.
- UAT Support: Assist business stakeholders during user acceptance testing by providing test results and issue tracking.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and traceable documentation of test cases, results, and defect reports for audit and compliance purposes.
- Domain-Specific Testing: Perform testing across life insurance and annuity products, including new business, illustrations, policy servicing, accounting, and claims.
- Automation Collaboration: Partner with automation engineers to identify reusable API tests and contribute to automated regression testing efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in the insurance sector.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and integrity checks.
- Experience with life insurance or annuity platforms (e.g., FAST, Vitech, OIPA, ALIP, Cyberlife, WMA).
- Exposure to automation tools like Selenium is a plus.
