This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate team of educators dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.The school follows the Jewish calendar and is closed during the summer, providing a structured and balanced schedule.What You’ll Do:
- Plan, develop, and execute engaging math lessons that align with the curriculum and state educational standards.
- Adapt the mathematics curriculum to support individual, small-group, and remedial instruction tailored to diverse student needs.
- Evaluate student progress, providing feedback and assessments to help students meet mathematical knowledge and skill benchmarks.
- Establish and maintain high standards of student behavior to create a focused and positive learning environment.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, including student-centered learning, exploration, and direct instruction.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to create an enriching and dynamic classroom experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related STEM field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Math teacher.
- Strong knowledge of math curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Ability to engage and motivate students through innovative instruction.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills and technology integration in teaching.
- Priority will be given to candidates who:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and are enrolled in a Master’s program.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in STEM with a NYS teaching certificate.
- Hold a Master’s degree in STEM.
