- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field required.
- At least 2 years’ experience in behavioral health or health care setting.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, including computer skills. Multi-tasking abilities, adaptability to change, and demonstrated strong customer service skills.

- Monitor and coordinate timely admission-decisions and process the admissions of children/youth for the Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit at Jefferson Center to promote safe and appropriate admissions while maximizing capacity. Admissions decisions should be made and communicated to the referral source in 30 minutes or less, except for cases with unusual complexity.
- Identify, problem-solve and resolve barriers to successful accomplishment of the 30-minute standard.
- Support the discharge and transition of care to community resources as assigned.
- Schedule admission specialists as appropriate to ensure that department is adequately covered.
- Provide training for newly hired Admissions Specialists and ongoing training and supervision for a team of 10 Admission Specialists.
- Attends PQI meetings and completes PQI projects as assigned.
- Review processing of referrals and intakes for timeliness and completeness.
- Track and trend by referral source all referrals, deferrals, and declines.
- Manage RAE/insurance/contracts for admissions in cooperation with external stakeholders to ensure all processes are completed. This includes collecting insurance information, acquiring initial authorization, and, if applicable, verifying Medicaid Eligibility.
- Acquire and maintain certification in Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training (CPI)
- Acquire and maintain certification as a Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP.)
- Jefferson Center pay is based on various factors including education level, licensure level, and years of relative experience.
- The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.*
- Based on full time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week*
- Must work a minimum of 20 hours/week to be eligible for bonus*
