Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients.The Health, Fitness & Recreation Center at Moraine Valley Community College is a state-of-the-art facility in Palos Hills, Illinois, currently under CENTERS management. This 113,000 square foot building, which opened in March 2014, supports the college’s athletic program, physical education & recreation therapy departments, and new campus recreation department. The fitness center consists of a 15,000 square foot fitness floor including cardiovascular machines, strength equipment and free weight room; 4 group exercise studios, 1/10 mile indoor running track, the Cyclone Center, including 3-court field house with basketball, volleyball, and badminton; 4 lap lane aquatic center including a whirlpool, expansive locker rooms each with a steam room, family changing rooms, Tropical Smoothie Café, a Pro Shop, and open lobby spaces with seatingCommitment to the well-being, security, and future of our employees is a priority.   • Prevent and respond to emergency situations
  • Identify and report any malfunctions or irregularities of equipment or facility
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meeting and in service training
  • Enforce all rules and regulations
  • Provide customer service
  • Lifeguard according to Facility, State Code and Lifeguard Training standards
  • Supervise proper use of swimming pools along with supporting facilities
  • Maintain current certifications in lifeguard training, First Aid for the professional rescuer, and CPR for the professional rescuer
  • Perform pool maintenance duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
  • Current American Red Cross, Ellis, YMCA or equivalent Lifeguard Training certification is required
  • First Aid, AED, and CPR-PR certifications are required
  • Previous lifeguard experience preferred

  • Basic computer competency
Professional Competencies
  • Ability to perform all Lifeguard skills as required by American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Program.
  • Successful completion of skills tests in swimming, rescue, and other areas as determined by the facility.
  • Managing any customer related issues whilst on shift
