AUSA has a 37.5 hour work week with shortened workday on Friday (8am-1:30pm) and hybrid remote work schedule (3 days in office and 2 days remote). Learn everything we do at .Financial/Budget Analyst as a key member of the Finance staff providing financial support and reporting, assisting with budget preparation, and tracking as directed, assisting with accounts payable duties, cash receipts and batching, and performing other financial assistance as needed. This role will report to the Controller.Responsibilities:
  • Weekly budget to actuals reporting
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Monitors departmental invoices for the Meetings team and organizes contracts as assigned.
  • Performs remote deposits and batches cash receipts in the AMS system.
  • Reviews expense reporting and credit card transactions to ensure compliance with AUSA policies.
  • Creates detailed trackers and interacts with Finance systems.
  • Serves as backup with donation acknowledgement letters.
  • Assists with Accounts Payable association-wide in collaboration with other members of the Finance team.
  • Performs other accounting and finance duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer and Controller.
  • Role will evolve to include more analytical work for Meetings, AUSA's top revenue stream
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA highly desirable.
  • 2+ years in progressively responsible audit or financial analysis roles, preferably in an audit firm or non-profit association.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented.
  • Outstanding PC proficiency in a Windows environment and understanding of accounting.
