- Welcoming patients and visitors.
- Answering and referring inquiries within scope of practice.
- Telephone: Answers telephone, processes calls, schedules patients for appointments and document appropriately within medical records. Returns all messages in a timely manner.
- Maintains communication between medical staff, administrative staff, companies and/or patient/families.
- Maintains and updates medical records.
- Performs breath and/or urine substance abuse testing in accordance with established policies/procedures and ensure appropriate disposition of specimen via lab or courier pick up.
- Administers medications/vaccinations as ordered by medical provider.
- Assists in appointment scheduling and onsite services scheduling.
- Facilitates medical requests, to include but not limited to, refill requests, work/school notes, and form completion.
- Scans and uploads patient clinical documents into medical chart.
- Process and coordinates all medical provider orders to include but not limited to, diagnostic, referral, pharmaceutical and surgical services.
- Reviews daily provider schedule and ensure all supplies and medical records are ready for patient and provider encounters.As directed by medical provider and within scope of practice, provide patient education.
- Attends trainings as needed by department for hearing and CPR instructor.
- Assists with patient registration, insurance varication and submission of worker’s compensation claims/referrals.
- Assists with entry of charges for billing purposes for companies and patients.
- Ensures all equipment in exams rooms are clean and properly set up.
- Contributes to the overall cleanliness and appearance of personal work space and department.
- Monitors clinical supply levels in exam rooms and stock room and requests when needed.
- Maintains all clinical equipment. Evaluates all equipment for damage or maintenance needs and reports when needed.

- Registered with American Medical Technologist or Certified with American Association of Medical Assistants.
- Basic Life Support Certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
