- Conduct and supervise non-destructive tests using VT, PT, MT, and UT methods to assess material properties and detect discontinuities, ensuring compliance with ASNT standards.
- Develop, review, and approve NDT procedures and techniques, ensuring alignment with ASNT requirements and applicable industry codes.
- Interpret and evaluate test results, providing detailed reports and recommendations to engineering and quality teams.
- Train, qualify, and certify NDT personnel according to ASNT guidelines, enhancing team capabilities and knowledge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve testing methodologies.
- Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy according to ASNT specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in NDT technology and techniques, particularly those recognized by ASNT.
- Manage and mentor the NDT Process Improvement Leader.
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED.
- Certification as a Level III NDT Technician in VT, PT, MT, and UT methods in accordance with ASNT standards (e.g., ASNT Level III Certification).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in non-destructive testing, preferably in a plant or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel code.
- Proficiency in using NDT equipment and software.
- Thorough knowledge of ASNT standards and industry regulations related to non-destructive testing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
