- Begin with hands-on Engineering Validation Testing (EVT) to gain familiarity with Frontgrade products and design workflows
- Assist with FPGA development, including RTL coding in Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog
- Support simulation and verification using tools such as QuestaSim or ModelSim
- Write and modify TCL scripts to automate FPGA build processes, simulations, and testbench workflows
- Help integrate and test modular FPGA blocks into larger systems
- Contribute to testbench development for verifying logic behavior
- Learn about high-speed interface design, such as 10GbE, PCIe, and DDR memory
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and analyze FPGA behavior
- Document designs and test results, and participate in peer design reviews
- High School diplmoa
- Currently enrolled in a BSEE or BSCE program
- Junior standing by the time of the co-op (3rd year of a 4- or 5-year program)
- Strong coursework or interest in digital logic, computer architecture, and FPGA fundamentals
- Familiarity with HDL languages (Verilog/VHDL) through coursework or labs
- Exposure to FPGA tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, etc.) is a plus
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
- Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
