ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize (US) Inc., the largest manufacturer and distributor of cement and related construction materials currently has an immediate opening for a Material Handler position for its manufacturing facility located in Colorado Springs, CO.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Follow all Safety rules, work instructions and procedures. Maintain adherence to AFR policy, A-Cert, ISO, and MSHA certifications. Ensure compliance with permitted and internal requirements at all times
  • Properly receive, unload and store alternative materials while respecting safety and quality standards
  • Responsible for accurate analysis, evaluation, handling and tracking of materials received at the preprocessing platform
  • Ensure all appropriate material testing, monitoring and inspections are performed (shift, daily, weekly, monthly, etc…) and documented as required
  • Responsible for submitting information regarding inbound loads to appropriate LH/Geocycle personnel in a timely manner
  • Collect samples of alternative fuel and raw materials for analysis
  • Ensure timely reporting and correction of co-processing and maintenance issues. Notify Facility
  • Supervisor of any downtime (Via text, call, or Radio)
  • Ensure all mobile equipment safety inspections are performed prior to equipment use. Ensure all appropriate safety inspections are completed and documented
  • Maintain a high housekeeping standard around the alternative material storing and co-processing areas
  • Assist in maintenance and repairs (blade changes, guards, breakdowns, etc….) as needed
  • Provide support to alternative materials testing, receiving, monitoring and co-processing
  • Assist in cement plant work as required. RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
  • Solid technical knowledge in all fundamental aspects of Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School diploma/GED
Required Work Experience: 2 years heavy industry experience/material handling
Licenses Preferred: Valid Driver's License Required
Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAPAdditional Requirements:

  • Microsoft office computer experience required.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved
  • Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
