
Medical Assistant/ Clinical Practice Rep, Needham Cancer Center

- Work in a purpose-built, patient-centered facility with infusion bays and a healing garden view, a cutting-edge linear accelerator, and all services on one accessible floor
- Collaborate with Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians from BIDMC in Hematology/Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Infusion, and Specialty clinics
- Contribute to a center offering clinical trials and advanced therapies through BIDMC and Dana-Farber partnerships
- Support patients holistically with on-site lab, pharmacy, social work, nutrition, physical therapy, and survivorship resources

- Provide clinical support, including:
- Taking vital signs, conducting EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Triaging patients and assisting during procedures
- Ensuring rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient use
- Support administrative and team coordination tasks:
- Call patients, assist with scheduling, and prep clinic documentation
- Enter data into the electronic medical record (OMR/Epic)
- Facilitate smooth patient flow and communicate updates to staff and patients
- Partner closely with MDs, NPs, RNs, and fellow MAs to support efficient, compassionate care delivery
- A reliable, empathetic team player with excellent communication skills

- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 5 months of direct patient care experience (as an MA, CNA, EMT, PCT, or a nursing/medical student with completed clinical rotation)
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate electronic medical records
- MA, CNA, EMT, or LNA certification or Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting
- Phlebotomy certification
- Experience in oncology, specialty, or hospital settings
