Job Category: Administrative SupportJob Description:FlexStaff is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our client, a leading medical and research center in Manhattan. This position will support their outpatient medical practice, be the first point of contact for patients and play a critical role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. This position includes front desk responsibilities as well as administrative coordination. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with compassion and discretion.
  • Location: New York, NY 10019
  • Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
  • Schedule: Full-Time (On-site, Monday-Friday 9:00a-5:00p)
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in/outpatients at the front desk, managing a positive and professional first impression
  • Answer and screen incoming calls; assist patients in person, via phone, or email with empathy and clarity
  • Schedule appointments across departments and manage patient flow efficiently
  • Perform administrative tasks including accurate record-keeping and interdepartmental coordination
  • Maintain confidentiality and compassion when handling sensitive medical information
  • Foster cooperative and respectful relationships with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff
  • Help maintain a calm, patient-centered environment
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required, associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced customer service role (healthcare setting a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks effectively
