Position SummaryPerforms imaging procedures for patients in Urgent Care environment to ensure high-quality patient care. May also perform tasks of Medical Assistant as needed.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision or direction:Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures and in accordance with the health system policies, protocols and standards.Demonstrates proficiency in the operation of all relevant equipment and computer systems.Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview patients to identify chief complaints.Ensures proper documentation as needed in the EMR system.Uses initiative, good judgment and technical expertise to perform a wide-range of imaging procedures.Applies the principles of teamwork in all aspects of providing patient services.Other Responsibilities:Adheres to all Core Values (Compassion, Pursue Excellence, Cooperation and Collaboration, Upholds Honesty, and Supports Innovation).Adheres to all Absolutes (Privacy and Confidentiality, Professional Appearance, and Responsibility and Commitment).Other job related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsGraduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography programARRT Certification/Eligible in good standingState of Connecticut License/EligibleGood judgment and problem solving skills with the ability to function independently and make decisionsGood organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks/projects simultaneously requiredPreferred QualificationsThree to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB etc) required.Bachelor degree or equivalent experienceDemonstrated competency in imaging modalitiesExcellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to interact positively with all levels of health care workers and guests requiredFlexibility and teamwork to ensure positive patient careComputer skills including word processing and spreadsheetsComprehensive Benefits Offered
