
Security Console Operator for Retail Centers

- Primary Responsibilities:
- Alarm Monitoring: Operators monitor all physical security equipment on a global basis to ensure the physical security of all employees, contingents, and office spaces
- Access Management: Operators manage day to day access to all company facilities, ensuring compliance with customer, auditorial, and company policy
- CCTV System: Operators manage the companies CCTV system and process video footage request
- Provide access management to all company facilities
- Conduct alarm monitoring for Open Text facilities
- Manage all video footage requests in accordance with company policy
- Manage all access report requests in accordance with company policy
- Notify the appropriate personnel in an emergency
- Notify, direct, and assist emergency personnel in the event of an emergency
- Liaison between clients, other departments, and company leadership during an emergency
- Directing visitors to the appropriate areas
- Monitor and control removal of company and personal property
- Report all building utility/ service issues as observed and instructed to facilities
- Manage the day-to-day requirements for the Companies Anti-tailgating program
- Evaluate and recommend improved procedural safety/security protocols or processes
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
- Work flexible schedules, including some nights
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Work experience must include of the following:
- Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to expertly prepare reports
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problems
- Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)
- Possession of highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals
- Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Flexibility to work various shifts and willingness to assist the team when needed
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and work under pressure
- Comfortable in an environment where there is an expectation for constant learning

- College degree, or actively enrolled in college, with a focus on Criminal Justice or other protective service-related field of study
