- Supports faculty and students to achieve clinical learning in simulated patient care environment.
- Prepares and maintains skills lab and simulation patient care environments with equipment, supplies, media, computers, and materials needed to replicate virtual healthcare settings.
- Participates in planning and scheduling for students and faculty by ensuring open lab and structured lab utilization times are available, communicated, and appropriately resourced.
- Supports test proctoring and scheduling for students.
- Maintains accurate records of student rosters and student attendance records as needed.
- Coordinates with faculty and assists in supervising students to ensure that lab experiences meet objectives.
- Ensures students and faculty/staff have assistance and oversight in the skills lab and simulation centers as needed.
- Collaborates on ordering and maintaining inventory of all simulation lab supplies, equipment, furniture, models, AV equipment and laboratory manuals; recommends purchase of lab equipment and supplies; and maintains a clean fully equipped nursing skills and simulation lab.
- Provides simulation equipment care and maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair as required.
- Participates in national lab and simulation forums and conferences as appropriate to maintain current knowledge base and ability to assess lab and simulation operational effectiveness.
- Demonstrates customer service, collaboration, communication, attendance and general professionalism.
- Completes duties in a timely manner, including, but not limited to: set up, implementation, documentation, tracking of student and faculty lab utilization.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Must be comfortable traveling between partnership sites.
Must be able to work evenings/weekends.Qualifications
- High School diploma with experience in any of the following areas paramedic, medic, EMT, emergency tech, CNA, or hospital technician is required. Associate degree in healthcare field preferred.
- Intermediate computer knowledge, advanced preferred
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in customer service and strong communication skills
- Able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to express technical information clearly and simply to non-technical individuals.
- Flexible and able to adapt to a dynamic environment based on changing policies, procedures, and clinical needs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
