In so doing, we partner with our customers to build a sustainable future! As a Mechanical Engineer at Trane, you will be responsible for designing the equipment and systems that support these goals. You will collaborate with engineering teams, develop concepts for new & improved commercial HVAC products and solve complex technical problems, leading to production of sustainable new products.Where is the work:This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.What you will do:
  • Meet the needs of internal and external customers, through documenting, understanding and prioritizing customer requirements.
  • Apply technical expertise to solve design problems or to gauge appropriateness of product to various applications.
  • Participate on project teams to meet performance, reliability, cost and schedule objectives.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including 3D models, bills of materials, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct design FMEAs; develop and execute resulting risk mitigation plans.
  • Both domestic and international travel may be required. Estimated travel is 10%.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Engineering Discipline
  • 2+ years experience contributing to technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, and root cause analysis
  • Deliver technical designs to meet project and product requirements
Compensation:$90,000 - $100,000 annuallyBase Pay Range: Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages.
