- Build a youth engagement program at the property that is focused on delivering programs and services for which residents want to participate. Youth engagement programs offered at the property will be focused on continual activation of amenity space, such as the outdoor courtyard and play areas, along with the property’s community center.
- Assist the Director in developing effective outreach and community activities, including recruiting residents for community programs and initiatives such as playground builds.
- Coordinate resources for residents that address key community outcomes: education, health and wellness.
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment for young people in our community.
- Serve as a resource for residents and staff by building a comprehensive understanding of available community services and resource referrals, and programming including but not limited to, behavioral and mental health support, after school programs, scholarship opportunities, youth engagement, fitness and sports,
- Host events through the community to engage young people.
- Build and nurture relationships with resident association, local government officials, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support community development efforts.
- Represent Related Affordable at forums, public meetings, and community events, including resident kickoff meetings.
$50,000 – $55,000 USD per yearThis range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, geographical location, and the specific responsibilities of the role. - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Community Development, Healthcare, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- 1 to 3+ years of relevant work experience providing services in multifamily housing environment or nonprofit social service organization serving youth, families and seniors.
- Must hold an active Illinois Leasing License or obtain one within 120 days of employment.
- Experience working with youth and families pertaining to youth enrichment and education.
- Demonstrates accountability and reliability by taking full ownership of projects and outcomes, prioritizing precision and attention to detail, and approaching challenges with grit, resilience, and proactive problem-solving, while continuously engaging in learning and development to enhance performance; fosters collaboration and a resident-centered environment, ensuring empathy, respect, and cross-functional success in all interactions.
