We are looking for a skilled and technology-savvy Project Manager with experience overseeing robotics or automation-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives involving robotic systems, cloud-connected platforms, and simulation/testing environments. This role bridges project execution with technical fluency in tools commonly used in robotics workflows such as ROS (Robot Operating System), AWS RoboMaker, and edge computing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of robotics-focused projects, from requirements gathering through deployment and performance review.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams of mechanical, software, and systems engineers.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Align project plans with the use of modern robotics development tools and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Facilitate integration of simulation, testing, and deployment tools such as ROS/ROS 2, Gazebo, and AWS RoboMaker.
- Oversee projects involving edge processing, sensor integration, and data communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, CAN, MQTT).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely updates, documentation, and milestone tracking.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle while promoting a culture of innovation and safety.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in robotics, automation, or embedded systems environments.
- Familiarity with robotics development frameworks (e.g., ROS, ROS 2) and simulation tools.
- Understanding of IoT and cloud-based deployment platforms, such as AWS IoT, AWS Greengrass, or Azure IoT Hub.
- Experience working with hardware/software integration and real-time systems.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certification.
- Exposure to robotic hardware platforms (e.g., mobile robots, industrial arms, autonomous systems).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, GitLab CI, Kubernetes).
- Background in sensor fusion, SLAM, or robotic vision systems.
- Experience working with safety-critical systems and embedded firmware development teams.
