  • Has advanced knowledge of project accounting, providing support for the most complex and/or large scale projects.
  • Makes recommendations for project improvement based on review of financial results and knowledge of project(s).
  • Researches general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and A/R cash adjustments.
  • Works with customers or clients to gather and provide information.
  • May review contracts for additional service opportunities and assist in converting project proposal into project budget.
  • Has advanced knowledge of project accounting, providing support for the complex and/or large-scale projects.
  • Makes recommendations for project improvement based on review of financial records and knowledge of project(s).
  • Works with customers or clients to gather and provide information.
  • Prepares monthly billings in a standardized format consisting of subcontractor/vendor invoices, payroll records, and miscellaneous expenses.
  • Verifies compliance with billing rates, established percentages, timelines, and other applicable terms established in upstream contracts.
  • Reviews subcontractor and vendor billings, including stored material documentation, lien waivers, and other component parts.
  • Alerts project managers and subcontractors of unresolved payment compliances which may result payment holds.
  • Maintains project budget and commitments in company’s accounting system and modifies same based on executed change orders.
  • Researches general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and A/R cash adjustments.
  • Enters and processes miscellaneous payables.
  • Prepares analyses, cost tracking documentation utilizing standard templates, and other ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Assists project accounting supervisor and company controller with monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Works with project team members to obtain and verify project financial information including projected monthly billings, cash flows, and estimated costs at completion.

Founded on a reputation of professionalism and quality, with the financial backing of AECOM, we are one of New York City's premier builders.As a separately branded entity of the AECOM Construction Management group, LBG operates independently with its own management structures and resources.QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:BA/BS Accounting, Finance or related curriculum and 4 years of construction project accounting experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 4 years of progressive accounting experience supporting a construction operation, program, or project.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CMiC and Oracle Textura Payment Management.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
