Job Title: Node.js Developer
Location: Mclean, VA
Duration: 6+ Months ContractJob Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer with strong expertise in TypeScript to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust server-side applications and contribute to the overall architecture of our systems.Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and performant APIs and microservices.
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes.
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend development.Required Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
Experience with version control tools like Git.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
