This position is within the Department of Corrections.DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs an Institutional Parole Assistant, you will play a key part of the parole process at SCI Cambridge Springs. Your duties will include providing clerical and technical support to the institutional parole office, ensuring that inmates are released in accordance with relevant laws and policies, and conducting interviews to determine their home plan needs. You will also be responsible for monitoring drug screening results and home plan investigations, as well as keeping track of any changes in inmate status, referrals to community correctional centers, crime victim compensation payments, and any incidents of misconduct or infractions. Additionally, your role will involve preparing important documents such as release orders, letters, and memos, along with compiling end-of-month status reports and running criminal histories for cases on the monthly docket.Interested in learning more?   • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Four years of experience as a Clerical Assistant 2 in the Department of Corrections or Probation and Parole Board (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
