Job Category: MachinistJob Description:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Become familiar with and adhere to all NOV HSE policies and procedures
  • Machine parts per prints and NOV specs and work instructions.
  • Daily inspections of machines and equipment before use
  • Maintain oil and fluid levels in machines
  • Keep a clean and orderly work area
  • Clean up shavings and maintain coolant levels
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2+ years machine operator experience preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Adheres to all HSE requirements
  • Working hours to be identified by manager (Willing to work 2nd shift)
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Team player
  • Self-starter with pride in work well done
  • Strive for continual improvement
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Able to read prints and machine parts accurately
  • Able to use measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Basic computer skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel. Will provide training for specific software utilized by NOV
