This role is responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, managing risks, implementing process improvements, and ensuring value delivery. The Sr. IT Project Manager partners with IT, executive leadership, and third-party vendors to deliver initiatives on time, within budget, and with measurable outcomes. Serves as a senior subject matter expert in project management practices and business systems impacts.Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and accountability for high-visibility projects with significant budgets, complexity, or cross-functional impact.
Facilitates executive-level project status meetings, communicates risks/issues, and ensures appropriate escalations and resolutions.
Oversees project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Defines and negotiates project scope, objectives, and success criteria with executive sponsors and stakeholders.
Prepares and presents cost/benefit analyses, business cases, and resource forecasts.
Coordinates with IT, business partners, and external vendors to ensure successful implementation of application/system changes.
Oversees requirements gathering and ensures business needs are clearly defined, documented, and translated into technical solutions.
Performs advanced analysis of complex business issues and delivers recommendations with data-driven insights.
Guides project teams in system testing, migrations, implementations, and post-deployment support.
Coaches and mentors project managers, analysts, and team members in best practices, methodologies, and use of analytical tools.
Develops, implements, and audits project and operational metrics; continuously improves processes and reporting practices.
Ensures compliance with organizational standards, release management, and governance frameworks.
Provides executive-level communication regarding project portfolio performance, risks, and strategic alignment.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead project manager role.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects in IT or business transformation environments.
Strong vendor management experience, including negotiation and contract oversight.
Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to present to executive leadership.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools.
PMP, PgMP, or comparable project management certification strongly preferred.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Flexibility to travel as needed to support project and business requirements.
