  • Location: Local and national travel options are available dependent on need.
This position is a permanent, full time position made up of 8-13 week assignments - not a short term option or temporary contract. Ability to extend as needed. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
  • Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
  • One year of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
