Grow with us, H2O+U.As an Intern/Co-op, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to infrastructure projects which may include water/wastewater piping, pump stations, treatment facilities, stormwater infrastructure, coal combustion residual (CCR) units, etc. Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken civil engineering courses. This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to support a number of exciting local and national projects.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reportsAssisting technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling, and evaluating project data, preparing reports, and performing calculations for design projectsGaining exposure and performing basic tasks in CAD, GIS, and other design programsPerforming construction observations and assisting with field work, as neededCompleting other engineering/administrative duties as requiredYour Capabilities and CredentialsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and take directionWillingness to learnEducation and ExperienceIn progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree (minimum) in civil engineering or related fieldSpecific coursework or exposure to one or more of the following: Planning, design, construction of infrastructure, and construction management, process/environmental engineeringTypical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for an extended period. An office presence is expected to maximize learning during the co-op period. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
