This role supports the overall well-being of residents and staff by maintaining a secure and comfortable environment. The Maintenance Associate will work closely with the Director of Maintenance and other staff to address maintenance needs in a timely and efficient manner.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of the facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building upkeep.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and facility wear and tear.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, infection control protocols, and industry standards.
  • Assist with groundskeeping duties, including landscaping, snow removal, and exterior maintenance.
  • Move and assemble furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  • Support emergency preparedness procedures, including fire safety and evacuation plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in maintenance, facility management, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety procedures is a plus.
