
Onboarding Specialist - Girl Scouts

- Trains, mentors and manages new adult volunteers to ensure consistent, innovative delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
- Works with cross-functional teams to determine or develop innovative strategies to ensure the effective support of new troop leaders and within Girl Scout communities.
- Assists in achieving the council’s membership and retention goals for girls
- Maintains our online training platform, gsLearn, ensuring trainings are updated in a timely fashion.
- Other duties as assigned to meet the Council’s goals.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum five years’ work experience in progressively responsible positions.
- Great customer service skills and attitude.
- Knowledge of and experience with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
- Experience working with and supervising volunteers and/or paid staff.
- Ability to work with a culturally and racially diverse group.
- Commitment to the principles of Girl Scouting and willingness to maintain membership in the organization.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, work independently and manage several projects at one time.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual Spanish a Plus
- Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, moderate lifting and carrying (up to thirty (30) pounds).
- Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Ability to sit at a computer work station for extended periods of time.
- Occasional need to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to focus on detail and accuracy of work product.
- Work is performed primarily in a non-smoking office environment
- Travel may expose employee to inclement weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to various work and meeting locations to meet with volunteers and staff.
- Dependable transportation is a must.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Occasional high stress may be experienced in dealing with staff and volunteers.
- A commitment and passion for the Girl Scout Mission and an ability to effectively promote and communicate the Mission and Vision to external and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to become of member of GSUSA
