(JPMC) Firmwide Events Team partners with businesses to deliver consistent, high-touch, distinctive client experiences. Our events range from signature global events to small intimate programs, with a focus on new client acquisition, deepening relationships increasing flows, whilst building our brand and adhering to global standards.As a Senior Java Engineer Vice President you will partner with the Firmwide Events and Marketing teams to coordinate the continued implementation of an end-to-end events management platform technology. You will posses a strong background in designing and implementing scalable backend solutions using Java technologies. In addition, you will work closely with cross-functional teams globally to define requirements and optimize application performance.Job responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java, with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Design and implement scalable microservices-based solutions.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction and user experience.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.
Job requirements, capabilities, and skills:
  • 10+ years of software development
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot framework, and AWS environments.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, designers, and platform teams.
