In this role, you will leverage both your technical breadth and business acumen to accelerate the design and development of next generation medical devices. The work you do will impact patients globally and help support Medtronic’s mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life for millions.
This Electrical Engineering Manager role requires strong technical and leadership skills to support the design and development of innovative, new products within the Cardiac and Vascular Group. You will apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in working on complex technical problems, and will provide technical leadership of projects from concept generation through early phase development to market release.

A Day in the Life
- Plans, directs and implements projects for an 8-10 person team that designs and develops new medical device products or software systems.
- May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.
- Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.
- Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products.
- Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release.
- Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
- Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research and development.
- Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
