Coesia has operating units in 36 countries, a turnover of 2,015 million euros in 2022 and over 8,000 employees.About the RoleAbout the RoleWe are currently seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Sales Operations Engineer to join our team in Davenport, Iowa.In this role, you will serve as a vital link between our Account Managers, customers, and engineering teams.You’ll be responsible for evaluating customer requests, determining the appropriate R.A Jones machine solutions, and preparing cost estimates and proposals. Once an order is secured, you'll lead the handoff process to the Project Management team, ensuring a smooth transition from proposal to execution.Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical resource for Account Managers and customers, providing support for both New Equipment and Modernization solutions
- Analyze RFQs and configure machine solutions based on checklist submissions
- Develop and submit both firm and budgetary proposals in collaboration with the sales team
- Assist in early-stage project screening with machine capability insights and high-level pricing
- Collaborate with Application Engineering to develop concepts and cost estimates for customized projects
- Conduct initial reviews of customer specifications and coordinate stakeholder involvement for detailed analysis
- Complete and submit Firm Proposal Approval Forms when required
- Maintain up-to-date information in the CRM system for all assigned sales opportunities
- Manage and update cost worksheet templates and proposal documentation for assigned product lines
- Prepare the Order Card once a purchase order is received, lead the Order Card Meeting, and facilitate a smooth handoff to the Project Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combined experience with an emphasis on technical selling.
- Ready to travel domestically up to 25% of working time –some international travel could also be required.
- Machine/Line layout reading skills required.
- Strong customer service, leadership, and sales support skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate active listening, organized presentation, and effective writing skills.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, and PowerPoint) and the ability to effectively utilize CRM tools, such as Microsoft Dynamics.
