- Ensuring all guests are greeted and proactively assisted in an engaging manner with accurate and timely information
- Having the knowledge to make product/service recommendations to guests and accommodating their special requests
- Managing order guides/ordering deadlines for all ingredients, supplies and beer and wine for the Square
- Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels
- Manage product to reducing shrink/damage
- Forecast and maintain store teams by collaborating with the Kitchen Manager and Talent Acquisition in the sourcing, selecting, hiring and training of new team members
- Help build sales and profitability of department
- Partner with the Kitchen Manager to write and manage weekly schedule for team members in the Square to ensure a superior guest experience
- Support the kitchen manager in managing sales, profitability, margin generated in the Square
- Help to create food production schedules to ensure all policies and procedures are followed to ensure food safety and quality
- Conduct weekly inventory review
- Guarantee the cleaning schedule is followed for all cases within the Square
- Ensure merchandising of product is consistent with plan-o-grams
- Certify that equipment is maintained properly, serviced regularly and any maintenance issues are communicated in a timely manner
- Provide weekly feedback to the stake holders on operating the Square to make any necessary adjustments quickly
- Ensure that your team members are adhering to The Fresh market standards and policies
- Ensure department adherence to all safety requirements and protocols, including food safety, per TFM policies, and per law
- 3 plus years of experience as a front of house restaurant manager within the retail, restaurant, or hospitality field
- Proven oral and written communication skills that allow for productive communication with your team, management, and guests
- High School Diploma
- Must be at least 18 years of age **with the exception of Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio must be at least 19 years of age
- Must have passion for cooking delicious, healthy and safe food
- Must have high standards for food quality and customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of local, state and federal food and health department requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Nutrition or Hotel/Restaurant Management is highly desirable
- Retail, Culinary and/or Grocery experience
- Production Planning Software experience
- Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, exposure to extreme temperatures
- Ability to use tools equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment
- Required to spend long periods of time on feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law)
- Required to wear approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment
