
Private Dining Sales and Events Manager

- Prospect, solicit, and develop accounts to maximize food and beverage revenues, including affiliate business and upselling opportunities.
- Conduct site inspections, entertain clients on and off-property, maintaining thorough follow-up to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and correspondences in a prompt, accurate, profitable, and professional manner.
- Develop client menus and coordinate all event arrangements such as linens, flowers, and custom printed materials.
- Supervise the overall setup of events, planning, and execution of social and corporate events, meetings, and private dining functions.
- Effectively communicate event details and client needs to restaurant teams and relevant hotel departments, ensuring seamless servicing of accounts.
- Greet clients upon arrival, introduce them to the restaurant team, and transition responsibilities while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Represent all Milwaukee area restaurants at trade shows, civic/business functions, industry-related associations, and other events to promote the restaurants and/or the city.
- Participate in strategic planning, goal setting, BEO/catering/departmental meetings, and complete financial reporting as required.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through exceptional service, timely follow-up, and proactive communication with all restaurants on upcoming events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous hotel or restaurant experience required; background in food & beverage operations strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's/associate's degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with strong technical aptitude.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Confident networker and polished communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Skilled at analyzing client needs, negotiating pricing, and delivering value-driven solutions.
- Able to meet deadlines and adapt to flexible, non-traditional work hours.
- Brings a positive attitude, proactive problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and a self-motivated work style.
- Thorough knowledge of service flow and operational capabilities across all revenue areas.
- Capable of working independently while demonstrating managerial accountability, with the flexibility to take on administrative and event support responsibilities as needed.
