
Engineer, HIL Test - Access Controls

- Collaborate with system engineers and software developers to identify, generate, and implement test cases and verification criteria for motor controllers.
- Configure test setups and runs in alignment with the test plan in partnership with the test manager.
- Develop and automate test tools, scripts, and enhance existing automation processes.
- Conduct tests at the hardware-software integration level (HIL), document, and report the results.
- Document, track, and participate in the triage of issues to identify root causes and resolutions.
- Work with integration engineers to design and build test benches for high and low voltage systems.
- Identify gaps in requirements, updating documents with relevant engineers.
- Collaborate with functional safety engineers to develop test cases and validation criteria in compliance with ISO standards.
- Ensure diagnostic coverage requirements are met with relevant engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot systems and ECUs using lab equipment like power supplies, oscilloscopes, and tools such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and NI Tools.
- Engage in the design of a world-class engineering effort to elevate electric vehicles to a new level of refinement.
- 3+ years of experience with NFC, UWB, BLE, and Digital Key in testing Vehicle Access Control systems.
- 3+ years of experience in building test setups involving NFC/UWB nodes for Access Control Systems.
- 5+ years of full-time experience as a HIL Test Engineer.
- 5+ years of experience in Python or similar scripting languages.
- 5+ years of experience developing Simulink Models using Simulink/Stateflow and proficiency in web development technologies.
- 5+ years of experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and related tools.
- 5+ years of experience with Real-Time simulation systems and/or FPGA-based systems.
- Practical knowledge of motor controls, software testing, and test processes.
- Experience with dSPACE/NI HIL frameworks and associated tools like ControlDesk and ConfigurationDesk.
- Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer and similar validation tools.
- Skills in designing, building, and debugging test benches.
- Experience in automating UDS test cases is a plus.
