Summary:Milgard Windows and Doors is a leading manufacturer in the window and door industry, known for our dedication to quality and innovation. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Production Assembler on our Vinyl Specials Line to join our team on the swing shift, here in Tacoma, WA. This role is critical in ensuring the production of high-quality vinyl products for our customers. The Vinyl Specials Line Operator is responsible for operating machinery and equipment on the vinyl specials line during the swing shift. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.The hourly compensation starts at $22.00, plus, $2.00 shift differential for working the swing shift. Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor machinery and equipment on the vinyl specials line to ensure efficient production.
  • Inspect products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Report any production issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and product quality.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to handle equipment safely.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Flexibility to work the swing shift and overtime as required.
