Job Title: Quality Specialist Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products and materials meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will work closely with managers and engineers to interpret engineering drawings and diagrams and use precision measuring tools to perform thorough inspections.Responsibilities
Review engineering drawings, diagrams, and formulas to understand quality and reliability standards.
Collaborate with managers or engineers to ensure quality standards are met.
Utilize precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs, to verify the quality of products and materials.
Measure parts, assemblies, and fixtures to confirm they meet required specifications.
Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining quality control procedures.
Select products to test at various production stages, checking for size, performance, and physical or chemical properties.
Record test results using statistical methods and analyze data to ensure standards are met.
Provide recommendations for changes to improve quality or production standards while aligning with customer needs and equipment limits.
Set up and conduct both destructive and non-destructive tests to evaluate material performance and durability.
Create charts or graphs from test data or input data into software for further analysis.
Essential Skills
At least 6 months of experience in a Quality role performing inspections on the production floor.
Proficiency with gauging tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Experience in quality inspection and using precision measuring instruments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
A 2-year technical degree is strongly preferred.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves hands-on interaction with precision measuring tools and equipment. You will work closely with a team of engineers and managers in a dynamic production setting. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount. The role may require standing for extended periods and conducting inspections on the production floor.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, Ohio.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
