  • The primary purpose of this role is to be present with the person to explore and discover their wishes, dreams, needs and wants. They will model for DSP's, how to support the person/individual to live the life they want. They will create an environment facilitating opportunities for self growth and communication among the people they support and the staff while in their home and the community.
  • Residential Manager should be present to support the person at their yearly ISP meetings; including providing updates, choosing outcomes, and facilitating conversations; as well as modeling these skills for the Direct Support Professionals
  • Provides guidance to Direct Supports Professionals in establishing direction and standard of care in regards to the atmosphere and culture of Parzival. They will provide direct support services and ensure adequate supervision in the home/community when needed
  • Being present with individuals in their home/community, in order to assess the person's quality of life or lack thereof (staffing supports, housemates, daily activities, physical layout of home, etc.) It is crucial that this information is accurately and appropriately communicated to ensure choice and quality in his or her daily life
  • Maintains confidentiality for all of the individuals they support
  • Maintains the overall responsibility of various documentation for the homes they oversee (i.e. Medication Logs, Incident Reports, household funds/food budgets, resident funds, fire drills.) While supporting and empowering Direct Support Professionals to step in to complete these tasks if needed
  • Monitors that all medications given on a PRN basis were administered and documented correctly
  • Assists individuals in daily life skills
  • Supervise and guide DSPs in relation to ensuring adequate food/household supplies are present, safely handled/stored, as well as providing nutritious meals/snacks and addressing any concerns regarding the individuals diet and exercise
  • As needed, drive, and/or assist individuals to and from appointments, activities, and/or visitations. Guiding/Modeling for DSP's on how to support people during medical appointments
  • Recognizes and responds to concerns of neglect and/or abuse, as well as communicating all major incidents involving staff and/or individuals to the Supports Directors and Program Specialist
  • Provide individuals with support in areas such as: socialization, utilizing community resources, vocational, social and interpersonal development etc; as well as guiding the Direct Support Professionals to support the person in these areas also
  • Must plan and lead all staff/house meetings, as well as attending and participating in 1:1 supervision sessions, and other meetings related to the person (i.e. IM4Q, QEST, SIS) and any additional training as assigned by the Program Services Executive
  • Maintains open lines of communication with their teams to ensure continuity of care and consistency of home operations and individuals' program plans
  • Interfaces with care management, family, and community resource systems as necessary. (consultation with Program Services Executive and or Program Specialists may be needed/necessary prior to this interface)
  • Availability to answer phone calls/emails after work hours if needed, based on unexpected needs and emergencies. This includes the possibility of providing coverage in the homes if required due to staff shortages/callouts/emergencies, etc.)
  • Performs any other duties/tasks as assigned by the Program Services Executive
