Your RoleAs a Gensler Technical Designer - Interiors, you will produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to team members and clients to ensure success. You’re a fit for this role if you have experience in documentation and execution of the project, are proficient in Revit, and enjoy working with a team of architects and interior designers that bring design dreams to life. This is a good role for someone who is technically proficient, comfortable in client-facing settings, and enjoys working with a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence.What You Will DoProvide project team coordination for finished plans, specification, and material selections; ensure design intent is incorporated into the construction documentationProduce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of projectParticipate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during constructionWork directly with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, regulatory agencies, and clients to help meet overall project objectivesUtilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design conceptsInterface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the projectActively participate and contribute to the financial performance of projectEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationshipsYour QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Interior Design8+ years of professional experience with focus on Interior DesignState licensure or LEED accreditation (or in process) a plusLEED accreditation encouragedKnowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniquesFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentExperience in construction document preparation and field observationProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Highly Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other 3D modeling software**The base salary range will be estimated between $85,000 - $110,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.Life at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
