Since 1950, we have proudly operated in St. Louis and McCay is committed to setting itself apart from the rest of the competition and is strategically positioning itself to be the most relied on supplier.Job Title:CNC Lathe and Mill MachinistJob Description:We are seeking experienced CNC Lathe and Mill Machinists who can keep up with our fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Set up CNC lathes and/or Mills according to blueprint specifications
  • Select and align holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
  • Machine parts according to blueprint specifications
  • Conduct quality assurance checks
  • Make machine adjustments
  • Modify program speeds
  • Meet production schedules
  • Follow all safety regulations
Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED)
  • Apprenticeship or training program
  • On the job experience
  • Journeyman-level experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) a plus
  • Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Experience working with various metal and plastic materials
  • Technical ability and basic math skills
