- Perform testing, observation, and inspection as directed, according to training and specified procedures, to ensure work is done according to contract specifications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
- Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance.
- Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submission to the Project Manager.
- Communicate information to the Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
- Interact with clients and other site personnel to provide input on the resolution of findings.
- Assist the Project Manager in the development of scope for testing and inspection services.
- Coordinate pre-dispatch activities with Project, Department, and/or Office Managers.
- Maintain equipment operation and assist more lead inspectors on large, complex projects.
- Follow safety rules and practices, and perform pre-task planning prior to executing work.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Experience in construction inspection, specifically with concrete.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with post-tension concrete and reinforced concrete.
- WABO certification is required.
- Proficiency with inspection equipment and understanding of construction drawings.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Preferred certifications include proprietary anchors, reinforced concrete, post-tension, firestopping, and structural wood.
