Job DescriptionTitle: Kitchen ManagerLocation: Woburn, MAIndustry: Casual DiningAre you an experienced Kitchen Manager who enjoys taking full responsibility for all kitchen operations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our restaurant in Woburn, MA is looking for a talented and competitive Kitchen Manager to lead our team of kitchen staff and build sales. You will be responsible for maintaining food quality and safety standards, overseeing all phases of food production and service, inventory and ordering, storage and rotation, food preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and service and production time standards. As a Kitchen Manager, you will also have financial responsibility for food costs, labor costs, and kitchen supplies. You will set operational goals and plans to achieve or exceed written budgets, then utilize kitchen systems, schedules, tools, and procedures to attain these goals; all while adhering to city and state regulations.Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff
  • Maintain food quality and safety standards
  • Oversee all phases of food production and service
  • Manage inventory and ordering, storage and rotation, and food preparation
  • Adhere to recipe standards for plate presentation, service, and production time
  • Manage food costs, labor costs, and kitchen supplies
  • Set operational goals and plans to achieve or exceed written budgets
  • Utilize kitchen systems, schedules, tools, and procedures
  • Adhere to city and state regulations
Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience as a Kitchen Manager in a full-service, moderate to high-volume restaurant
  • Demonstrated upward career tracking and a solid track record of success in previous assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Culinary school background is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work ten-hour-plus shifts and stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50lbs as needed, have finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery, knives, etc., and be able to withstand changes in temperature, occasional smoke, steam and heat in a confined area
